My dive partner, and one of our other WKPP divers both design these devices for the U.S. Navy. I don't want to spoil your guys' fun, but none of you has even hit on the important points of breathers. I will say, however, that I tend to agree with Dave Schubert. Since he, unlike the rest of the technical diving community, is putting his money and ass where his mouth is,I tend to automaticly agree with him. I have not been reading what Rich is saying, but he is another one who falls into this category, but only for his own use, whereas Dave has to deal with the aspiring techies. I also think it is a real crime that some of the biggest, most pathetic strokes in diving are running around with instructor trainer cards for these devices, like Schubert mentioned. I will also say that when I can get a breather that I can get farther with than my tanks that has reliable parts so that I can concentrate on the mission instead of the equipment (like I can do now), I will buy it and use it. If you guys think you can recognize hypoxia while chasing down a grouper or laying line in a cave - let me tell you differently - you can't, especially if you are in good shape. The other thing I think is that you should start diving on the weekends so we can get the wagon train going again. Bill Mee and I found a new ledge that is loaded in a little deeper water than where you would expect it.- George .
