I haven't ever used a scooter so this is probably as dumb as everything
els I post, but...
I understand from cave divers who do use scooters that you need *three*
of them.   The idea is that if one fails you tow back with a diver on
one and the dead scooter on the other.  (that is if you worry about
being stranded)
