Subject: scooters

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best underwater scooter to get?
 I've heard various things about Oceanics, Apollos, and ScubaPros; and I've
also heard that the old Farallons and Teknas are now being made and/or
serviced again.  I'd like to get a couple of reliable ones, not so much for
technical diving (or, God forbid, for cave diving!), but for going long
distances underwater without worrying about getting stranded.
