It also helps to run any hoses so they will not block access to the valve. I know lots of people who do it this way. Now that I am more decrepit, I leave my harness a little loose so I can scootch into a good position (also do this with a manifold). Just a little harder than getting to the middle valve of a manifold. It has been mentioned that a valve can be turned off by brushing the ceiling. This can only happen on the left side of some manifolds- this is why some people use the brass knobs (too slippery for the cave to grab, as opposed to the soft rubber Sherwood ones). Hitting my knob on the right side of my independents only serves to try to open it, and the left one is protected from the ceiling. (If there is an exception to this, someone will no doubt set me straight, an advantage of public discusion). The above assumes we are going in a forward direction. Safe Divin, Paul Smith
