The Wakulla Project book had an example of differential He loss, if memory serves. It seems that someone had a slight manifold leak which allowed He but not the other gases to leak out. This produced a tri-mix which was lower in He and proportionally higher in O2 and N2. Very bad news when diving to 250+ ft for extended periods. Close call.
