RICHARD...Hi guy, you asked about partial pressure filling of
EANx...well your chemical/physics background can indeed be relied
upon....stratification of oxygen and nitrogen (Azote :-) ) is indeed a
non-issue unless you wish to listen to the gentleman from a Canadian
Nitrox agency (CANDI) who spoke about it at Underwater Canada. I
understand Mr. Gilliam of TDI and Mr. Rutowski pointed out the error of
his ways during an open debate on Nitrox....I am unsure if he remains
unconvinced....The simple solution would of course be to breath the top
portion of the tank at depth and the oxygen rich bottom during ascent
and deco....but perhaps this is only practical with a special nitrox
ready regulator....For a definitive answer, try NOAA...I know you have
the address...I think we would all be intereted in the responce...
