I have two questions related to rebreathers. First, I heard that PRISM will be commercialized soon by a company called "COHRAN" (I am not sure about the name). Anybody have info on this? Second, I read on the WWW rebreather page of Eric (Thanks to him) the description of the BMD. It is said that, this semi-closed rebreather use as feeding gas Air and that the percentage of O2 still acceptable even on surface. My understanding of semi closed technology is that there is a degradation of the O2 level down to a plateau/asymptote where it is stabilized. To achieve this, semi-closed reb. are usually fed with a nitrox mix so the plateau is within an acceptable O2 percentage range. If any could explain me the BMD technology i'll appreciated as it is a mystery for me! Thanks. Bonnes Plongees Frederic
