     John,
     I do not know of any such industry support for that idea. 
     And, while I think that EANx tanks don't have to be PERMANANTLY 
     labeled and dedicated (especially when used exclusively for EANx40 or 
     less), I think it's foolish to put anything but air in an unlabeled 
     scuba tank. At least put a sticker or a label on the valve that 
     clearly states what's in the tank.
     It's like putting decaf coffee in a regular coffee carafe; no big deal 
     until you forget. (OK, so it's a poor example).

... that Tanks no longer had to be labeled. Does any one know the source 
or why this is being expressed. I know of no agency that supports this 
philosophy.
