John, I do not know of any such industry support for that idea. And, while I think that EANx tanks don't have to be PERMANANTLY labeled and dedicated (especially when used exclusively for EANx40 or less), I think it's foolish to put anything but air in an unlabeled scuba tank. At least put a sticker or a label on the valve that clearly states what's in the tank. It's like putting decaf coffee in a regular coffee carafe; no big deal until you forget.
