I seems to me that you must have more tanks than I do! :)
I don't and you don't need to dedicate an entire tank setup for Trimix.
As for Nitrox, I don't dedicate a tank. I will clean it but more often 
than not I will use it for air as soon as the Nitrox is gone.

I don't mean to sound abrupt, but if you need LH and RH thraded fittings 
to keep you straight with respect to mix, you may have a tough time 
finding a buddy. It seems to me the real problem is not the regulator to 
tank connection but rather which regulator you put in your mouth (i.e. O2 
instead of Nitrox 32 @ 110 fsw has a markedly deleterious effect).
