Concerns for O2 toxicity come in at far lower PO2 exposures than when O2 narcosis becomes a concern. However, if you calculate your EAD based on nitrogen alone, then you are not necessecarily calculating your narcosis correctly if your O2:N2 ratio exceeds 1:4. It only matters on nitrox below about 100 feet, or trimix other than "heliair"; and even then it doesn't matter much because narcosis is such a variable thing due to other factors anyway. Incidently, I did once breathe pure O2 at a simulated 220 feet (another person's mistake). No convulsions, but the narcosis was not unusually different from my experience with air at 220 feet. Go figure.
