I'm pretty sure it's the same formula that "Abyss" software uses to calculate EAD (Hey Chris! Quick! Here's your chance to jump in with a legitimate message about Abyss! ;-) ). It's also what Bill Hamilton espoused in one of his presentations at the recent tek meetings in San Francisco. There is a published paper (Hamilton was one of the authors) in a peer-reviewed journal (somebody help me with the reference....my reprints are a mess right now and are not computer catalogued). This is not my idea (although all of my experience with mixed-gas diving supports it). John Crea, are you out there? Help me here...
