I have received the following alert, and have confirmed its accuracy.
While it is not germane to the list topic, it is something you should
be aware of:
There is a file being distributed called PKZ300B.ZIP or PKZ300B.EXE.
This is NOT a version of PKZIP, and will try to erase your hard drive
if you use it. The latest version of PKZIP is 2.04G, NOT 3.00B. The
existence of this virus/program has been confirmed with PKWare, Inc.,
the makers of PKZIP.
