Hi Dennis, **** > If I ever get my act together and take a tech diving course, it'll be > from one of you guys. .. ok, just as long as you remember that not *every body* passes.. :-) just kidding... aloha, dennis **** Jokes aside I wouldn't have it any other way. I still vividly remember my shock when I was awarded my PADI Advanced Diver. I didn't really want to do the class, but the guy teaching it was a good freind, and he was also giving me diving work, so I let him talk me into it. I was the student from HELL! I argued in the theory class. I lost my temper with my dive buddy and yelled at him (in my defence I waited till his head was submerged first). I refused to dive the PADI RDP, and used the DCIEM tables instead. I wouldn't do the safety stop at 5m, I did deco at 6 and 3m. I wouldn't get out of the water with everyone else. I wouldn't dive a single tank, anywhere, no matter how shallow. I wouldn't buddy breathe, I was scared of catching something. I abandoned my dive buddy on the deep dive, when he wouldn't leave the instructor and I *nearly* came to blows with the instructor during the ascent when I ignored him trying to get me to ascend at 60 fpm rather than 30. In fact we managed a screaming match while U/W. Then to top it off, I got less than half the questions right in the exam. After all that he asks me for two passport photos, to which I replied "What for? I didn't *pass* did I." "There's no pass or fail. It's called an 'experiential' course." You could have knocked me down with the proverbial feather. Cheers Jason :) PADI *ADVANCED* DIVER!!!!!
