> B) aren't responsible for a team of divers, EU>..... tell 'em George.. they won't ever understand tho.. cuz they will EU>never **be** responsible for a team of divers.. and if they ever do it EU>will only be for one dive, then they'll run home crying (with the trans- EU>former). And I guess you gentlemen undertook your *Expeditions* on your own. Your own funding, no insurance guidlines, you just put together your TEAM and boldly went wherever you did. That's swell. I have no desire to lead a team, I dive for pleasure on the shipwrecks of the North East. I am not trying to impress anyone by breaking any records or showing how many divers I was responsible for. That starts to sound like macho, egotistical BS and that's not my bag. Otherwise it's scientific diving which, although can be very similar, is different from tech diving due to the objectives and means of gathering the data to be analyzed. I've never dove caves, and have no great desire to do so. I don't want to say that cavers are silly for diving in a hole in the ground, it just doesn't appeal to me at this point in my life. I dive the wrecks of the North Atlantic, not at all the same as cave diving. But we have logged thousands of dives on air up here on dives between 190 + 240 fsw. And I've never heard of anyone getting an O2 hit let alone dying from convulsions except where there has been a gross PpO2 error (like when someone diving mix puts the wrong reg in their mouth). What works for you probably works well for you, but it won't work up here. Try offering an opinion next time, instead of an assault.
