The associations rules merely state that there is a recommended maximum depth of 40m. Since it is recommended, this is not an absolute. Many of the sites have a depth limit of 40m imposed on them by the owner, as part of the site access agreement. The other issue which the CDAA is struggling to come to grips with at the moment is whether diving should be done on anything other than air. At present, no mix diving is allowed, which includes nitrox/oxygen for decompression.
