Hi, >Does anyone know if there exists a regulator which could be used to >ventilate a non-breathing diver? Here in Australia, the Australian Resuscitation Council has just ruled out Positive Pressure valves. From Jan. 1st, you won't be able to buy a resus. unit with a 'purge' button, and the first aid courses will teach you not to use it; They feel it is to easy to overinflate (lungs, stomach etc). [I just did a one day Advanced Cardio Pulmanory resus. course and it is amazing how much easier it is to use a bag-mask to ordinary cpr. Locally, Dreager is the only supplier of demand valve bag+mask without a purge unit, although the rest say they will have them soon] Hope this helps, Dan Grimm dan@ba*.en*.mo*.ed*.au* Professional Officer (computer systems area) Dept.
