Jay,

Argon is considered to be twice as narcotic as nitrogen, and thus
the inclusion of the 0.93% (molar) in the calculation of nitrogen
narcosis (include in the nitrogen % by many), makes probably a
insignificant difference in the amount of narcosis seen in the
air diving range.

I question you statement that "It rapid  becomes extremely narcotic even at
shallow depths."
