Um, frankly, so far, I've seen nothing in this mailing list that couldn't have been posted to rec.scuba. The audience level (from the indroductions I've read, and my knowledge of the participants) is about the same. And so, in general, are the postings. About PP mixing of He: You should know that the ideal gas equations don't apply to helium at 3000 PSI and room temperature. They aren't close enough to be safe. Larry "Harris" Taylor, in a copyrighted article (available on GEnie) points out some of the pitfalls. I have the Mixed Gas Diving book referenced, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet, since I'm trying to learn Windows NT. There are two remaining possibilities: 1. Mix by weight. There are scales that can measure the weight of a tank accurately enough. 2. Mix and analyze, and develop tables that show what emperical results are. Eventually, develop tables (and even equations) that describe the behavior of different trimix ratios at temps and so forth.
