Wreck navigation: the ability to recognise where you are on a wreck (in poor visibility) and travel safely to the target area, and back. Wrecks are often well broken with parts 'missing' or out of position. How many of you can look at an engine block and tell from it which way the bows/stern are? 2. A good knowledge of the construction and layout of the various types of ship, so as to know where to look for particular artifacts. Test question: how many helms would you expect on a typical 3 island steam ship, and where would they be? Dave Wilkins.
