I read somewhere that the sensor *consumes* the oxygen. There is a company (I lost the documentation) that sells a sensor life extender which looks like a simple cap that goes on the O2 sensor. Once the sensor *burned* the O2 inside the cap, it does not generate any current. A simple way to do it, would be to use the sleeve adapter and plug it. The volume of air in the sleeve adapter is quite small. Care must be taken not to induce a pressure on the sensor while putting the sleeve on. Michel Therrien m.therrien@ne*.qc*.ca*
