We keep them in a small bag or container to deprive them of their "fuel", and we keep them from too much heat. We store them after each use. This has given us much longer use times for each sensor. You probably already know this, but if you buy the little conector from radio shack and hook it to your multimeter, you can calculate the %O2 based on the number of millivolts the sensor outputs realtive to what it does in air. This will save you about $225 over buying one of the complete units. Thar way its not so painful when you finally do have to replace the sensor. - George Ivine
