First, let me say that if you want a skipper who will get you to the specified dive site on time and spot on, then Roger will do that. That is why he is still in business. He is an abrasive character, but I can put up with that. In my first incident, our club had booked his boat in advance for 12 divers (- the limit of his licence). When we had boarded he put on another 4 divers who had booked him on the pier, that morning. A short lived argument ensues, cut short by the need to catch the slack. After the dive the argument continues and we refuse to get off his boat unless we have a refund for the four extra divers who robbed us of boat space that we had paid for. The argument gets very noisey, but we eventually got our refund. In the second incident, we were diving the Kyara from our rib and had divers on the shot when Rogers boat moves in to drop his divers with Roger shouting abuse at us to get out of his way. Not SAFE. Not Legal. OTOH there were about twenty dive boats around the Kyarra and Roger has to put up with the kaos every day.
