Well, for once we seem to all agree on something :)  According to
the private mail I received following yesterday's message plus
what has been posted on the list since then, it is safe to say
that the majority believes that advertising on this list should
be limited to short announcements aimed at giving important
information to fellow divers.  Long repetitive (aggressive?)
postings selling one's product should be banned from the list.
Maybe this should be included in the "welcome message"
subscribers receive when they join the list.

Although I didn't want to single out any individual or company,
it seems that someone out there got the message.  Yes, I
responded to an old message about a free software demo. No, I did
not buy the product. Yes, I am annoyed by your postings and I
believe that this is a bad commercial practice. Even if 50% of
the people on this list responded to your offer for free stuff,
the long ads are the electronic equivalent of junk mail for the
rest of us.  AND I'M PAYING FOR THIS!

Enough BW wasted, let's get back to diving....
