From what I understand, AP valves doesn't have the exact number of inspiration
users, but estimates it to be between 2000-6000.  There have been about 20
deaths.  That means that 20/2000*100 = 1%.

So up to 1% of inspiration users die.  That is MUCH higher than OC scuba.

Of course you take a risk leaving your house in the morning.  What's your
point?  Driving a car is risky, so why would you want to do something like
blindfold yourself to make it riskier?

This is analogous to making the already risky sport of scuba even riskier by
using a CC rebreather instead of just the standard OC gear.

If 1% of automobile drivers died in car accidents, I'd walk, or hope the
goverment would outlaw it.
