Hey George, Thanks for the feedback...someone has to keep the monkeys in line :-) FYI, I have modelled the 300 bar Din valve gas savers/manifold protectors I am manufacturing to be identical to the working thread system componentry of an Apeks regulator. Each is a triple chromed solid brass three piece unit and fully o-ring sealed, which also is available in a flow restrictor version, with a .4mm flow restricting orafice built in for use with an "Qxycheq Expedition" O2 anylizer,of which I am the NZ dealer, or any anylizer for that matter. There are two flats for unscrewing if accidentally pressurised (gas saver) and fyll knurling for ease of insertion/removal from threads. The 300 bar DIN regulator end caps are triple chromed solid brass, fully knurled and seal to the reg 0-ring just like a manifold does. DUI is expensive everywhere - just have to do with what gives you the most similarities. -----Original Message----- From: Paul - Inner Realm [mailto:Paul@in*.co*.nz*] Sent: Friday, November 22, 2002 10:25 PM To: 'George Irvine'; dis-uk@ya*.co* Cc: 'Quest (GUE QUEST)'; 'TECHDIVER'; 'DIR_UK' Subject: RE: [DIS-UK] Undersuits Yeah, Yeah, thanks George :-) I woundered who would pull me up on this one... The "DIR" comment just a little bit of a "sales pitch", as is the advertising spam...sincere apologies. The DUI is a great product, as I dive one also, but horrendously expensive to purchase upon this side of the world and things can always be refined with a MTM option a bonus IMHO for a start. Not reg protectors as such, but end caps which keep the O-rings upon the regs clean and also seal up against the reg o-ring to enable them to be completely immersed for washing...not that with Apeks it's an issue or that many people bother these days unless diving salt like we do mostly. Just doing my best to be innovative and get some quality product out to the guys who are interested. 20 series low profile Titanium mags for the Vette anybody? I am no so sure about these round ones anymore. Reg protectors? Hello , Mom? I notice the word "DIR" after some of these lists copied here. -----Original Message----- From: Paul - Inner Realm [mailto:Paul@in*.co*.nz*] Sent: Friday, November 22, 2002 7:00 PM To: dis-uk@ya*.co* Cc: Quest (GUE QUEST); TECHDIVER; DIR_UK Subject: RE: [DIS-UK] Undersuits Hey Guys, I have orderd the 400G bolts of Thinsulate from 3M NZ , which take 3 months to arrive from the states. The actual patterns are also sorted as is the manufacturing process , but the other materials needed ;as in a quality waterproof/breathable exterior nylob shell and moisture wicking interior lining that wont allow thinsulate fibre migration are still being sourced...and proving difficult to find here. I could really do with some leads upon these other materials from anyone with any known manufacturers/suppliers I may try... if anyone has any clues I would be most appreciative? , as the local suppliers are so "backward' even the 3M rep had never seen 400g before and had to order min a sample especially ;-) These MTM suits will be a great price compared to DUI and far better quality of design/maunfacture. Anyone ever wondered why there wasnt a buttonhole pee valve hose opening integrated into them...? me too :-) no more half opened zips boys! I am also working with an idea of velcro tabs or similar on the booties to stop the legs riding up upon donning the sui as the ankle elastic worn in the arch causes foot cramp in some people. There will be quite a few modifications for diver comfort, ideas and feedback, as to what you (fellow divers) feel would improve the quality of your comfort is more than welcome... I have also been very focussed upon the Innerrealm 300 bar tank va/ve/manifold and Reg protectors I have designed. They are almost ready ,having been delayed by the Machine shop. They are VERY nice and I will advise as soon as I get pictures upon the site for you to take a look so I can take orders for supply.
