Reckless? I don't think so (it *is* in quotation marks). Deco is a variable thing and you can do too much as well as too little. There are so many people that set their gradient factors conservatively and still add "fudge factors", not to mention the various computer lemmings that do whatever the computer tells them to with no real understanding of why. I have been known to get agressive on the profile- possibly too much so- but that is dependant on who I'm diving with and the logistics of handling potential problems. A deco that I would feel comfortable with doing 100 miles offshore would be a "weenie" deco in N. Florida. What would you call it if your buddy consistantly wanted to do 20-30% more deco than necessary? And for the record, I stay with my buddy through deco regardless of whether it's "weenie" deco or not.
