Hi Dave,
They are used to protect the actual manifold during transit ,so as
to negate any accidental impact to the threaded portion of the valve which
can easily deform the inlet orifice rendering the entire manifold into scrap
metal...

The O-ring sealed reg protectors also allow the regs to be safely submerged
during the cleaning process without water entering the system and damaging
the reg.

Kind regards

Do you guys mind if I ask a dumb question?

What application requires the use of these?

I'm relatively new to DIR and I have a few tanks with Beuchat Y-valves.
Each valve has two DIN connections.

Just wondering if I should get some plugs as well.

thanks!
dave
