Even this diver with 65 dives total knows that you prepare for the thermal conditions OF THE DIVE, not of the dive boat. Get real. You are, I assume, an experienced diver? It fails to show. Hypothermia is a threat DURING the dive, and if you sweat on the boat waiting for others, drinking water is the answer, not avoiding to wear the proper insulation for the dive at hand. I think the problem with 'experienced' divers resenting DIR is that their macho self-image won't allow them to learn something, to become a student all over again and maybe look silly in front of their buddies, even in the face of overwhelming logic. I can understand this, but we must all grow up sometime. Gene You had no case. And I am not looking to get into the 'clique' of DIR - most of the DIR people wouldn't even dive with me. I just know logic and ignorance when I see it. This is not rhetoric, and I hope you realize this. >From: JWSAVN@ao*.co* >To: trey@my*.ne*, techdiver@aquanaut.com >Subject: Re: CLUELESS MORON was RE: Nazi's >Date: Wed, 25 Sep 2002 20:32:05 EDT >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from mc4-f22.law16.hotmail.com ([65.54.237.157]) by >mc4-s18.law16.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.5600); Thu, 26 >Sep 2002 03:28:06 -0700 >Received: from fulton.opal.com ([198.3.124.1]) by mc4-f22.law16.hotmail.com >with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.5600); Thu, 26 Sep 2002 03:25:45 -0700 >Received: (mail@lo*) by fulton.opal.com (8.11.2/jr5.1) for >techdiver_x@aquanaut.comid g8Q9n6m25592; Thu, 26 Sep 2002 05:49:06 -0400 >Received: from imo-d04.mx.aol.com (imo-d04.mx.aol.com [205.188.157.36]) by >fulton.opal.com (8.11.2/jr5.1) with ESMTP for <techdiver@aquanaut.com>id >g8Q1NFO24993; Wed, 25 Sep 2002 21:23:15 -0400 >Received: from JWSAVN@ao*.co* imo-d04.mx.aol.com (mail_out_v34.10.) id >u.16e.1462379b (17079);Wed, 25 Sep 2002 20:32:06 -0400 (EDT) >Precedence: bulk >Errors-To: owner-techdiver@aquanaut.com >Message-ID: <16e.1462379b.2ac3af85@ao*.co*> >X-Mailer: AOL 7.0 for Windows US sub 10641 >Return-Path: owner-techdiver@aquanaut.com >X-OriginalArrivalTime: 26 Sep 2002 10:25:45.0796 (UTC) >FILETIME=[13235040:01C26547] > >Well, the true George did surface. Gene Avakyan --------------------------------------------- Direct examination of psychologically healthy people shows pretty clearly that they are positively attracted to the mysterious, to the unknown, to the puzzling and unexplained. This is noteworthy because it contrasts sharply with the psychologically sick person's tendency to be threatened by the unfamiliar, the ambiguous , the unknown.
