Hi there...

If you are in Europe, just give a try in the french brand "Conte" - they are 
made of non-wood material and can stand a lot of abbuse. 

I use these guys as backups and prefer to use cheap mechanical pencils in the 
.7mm range - once they stuck, I just get a new one...
