Mike, in my experience this seems to be a very common mistake people make
about DIR. Confusing inflexibility of STANDARDS as distinct to the system.

I think people often use the 'rigid' argument to say it doesn't work outside
Florida cave, gee, that's a shame for Reinhard and Michael, the Swedish
guys, and all other guys in Cypress, Italy, South America, Germany,
Australia and almost every other spot on the globe.

Clearly the standards are inflexible while the application of it is not.
