Yes, for when you lend them to your friends or let the boat monkeys handle
them or you stand them on their nose and they fall over. Actually, I stopped
carrying my spare parts kit.

The o-rings may need replacing from time to time if they get "dead". They
are easy to obtain other than the big one which is an odd thickness. The
relay on the board is a part to have on hand, but I gave Mako the design for
that one and the new brushboards, so those are more readily available
everywhere now. The reed you could drop the body on and break, but that can
be picked up at Radio Shack. The blades are a popular item. I put a steel
pin in them so they usually will not break ( notice JT was not able to break
them), sot you need a like blade or it will feel out of balance. If you
dropped it you could break the handles. The little clutch parts get lost
sometimes. Most of the other parts have to be messed with to break. If you
get one set of spare parts in a group of divers , like a save a dive kit,
you can have them on hand and know what to order in the future .

In the project, we generally rely on interchangeability of scooters rather
than trying to fix anything unless it is very simple at the time.

George, enlighten me. I have been diving your gavin for 5 years now, the
only parts I needed were two bulkheads to make another short battery
pack. Is there something that goes wrong with these things that I need
spare parts for?
