Sorry, Quasimodo, you don't get to make the choices. When I talk respectfully of my original instructor or George or my dive buds, that isn't ass-kissing, that's sincere regard for their skills and their willingness to share what they've learned. If you can find a more successful group of cave divers than the WKPP working today, please tell me who they are -- I'll pay attention to what they have to say. If you think listening, learning, adapting and changing are somehow the signs of an ass-kisser and/or a neophyte then you are indeed a very strange and misguided individual. Either that or you need a dictionary. Personally, I think you're letting your rancor towards George make you sound stupider than you probably actually are. So tell me, of the two choices, pissed off or stupid, which are you -- or is it both? Come to think of it, I don't get to make the choices either . . . . >> Boring, boring, boring! > > Joel from an earlier post I made......below >>This would not carry on so long if the guys that kiss your ass would not >>jump out and post, prolonging the facts. So you want to control who posts? Only people who agree with you are acceptable, I suppose? Yes, people who speak up in a discussion do prolong it, that's true (geez) . . . but then, you can quit any time you wish. So take a deep breath, get that distracting image of George's ass out of your head and chill, go diving. It should help you relax if you do it right. Quasimodo was deaf, you don't have to be. I think everyone here has the same goal, safe and effective technical diving. It's just that there are a lot of strange and poorly thought-out ideas of how to get there. You'll have more success if you challenge ideas and not people. BTW, facts don't get prolonged, arguments do. JoeL -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
