To expand on Jim's e-mail -

A new motor and tail cone is on the way from George to get this scooter
going again.

This motor is now a "learning project" - we did not know it was dropped and
we thought we had flushed it enough with fresh water - learning is
expensive.

We are going to try and re-assemble the casing and magnets but it would be
nice if we could find a casing with magnets from a burned-out motor. I had
some help from my 6 and 10 year old and the order of the magnets has been
changed. (They love playing with them but I have to keep them away from our
TV's with magnets - those with children will understand)

Our scooters have been used daily and George has been very helpful with his
patience and assistance.

These Gavins are amazing to use and I consider them a major component of our
diving gear - they have been used very hard as demos and in training. With
one scooter down we feel almost naked.

George will be here next week to dive, give a talk on DIR and help us on
scooter maintenance and repair.
