This is my first post to the list, and I'm going to stick my head above the
parapet.

I actually enjoyed doing the BSAC Extended Range course. Due to missing the
whole of last year's season due to minor surgery, I have a self-imposed
depth limit of 35m for this year, and the course suited me for the type of
diving I am presently doing.

It helped, however, having a decent instructor who taught my buddy & I one
to one, who could draw from his own trimix experience, and pad out the
course with extra training & info. When I'm ready to go on & do a trimix
course I will use the same instructor. He now knows me & my abilities.
