I would like to learn more about using spools. I have two questions
about there utilization after using one for the first time last weekend. My
questions are as follows:

Are spools strictly a back up to a reel or can they be used as a primary reel
for wreck penetrations if the spool is equipped with the appropriate length
of line/

Are there any tips or tricks to using a spool? Due to the water temperatures
holding in the high 40's (deg F) I generally have on thick gloves, my first
use of the spool for shooting a bag seamed to not go as smoothly as it should
this is of course mostly due to a lack of practice but if there are any tips
on using a spool or experiences I would like to know about them.

Thank you for your time and knowledge in advance.

    Ron
