What about an item actually being taken apart and physicaly cleaned? The
inside of a valve or 1st stage could have a burr, silicone or other
accumulated hydro carbons. A few more points to consider about o-rings,
1st-viton burns at a high a higher temp than buna-n, 2nd viton gives of a
gas when burning that I understand is quite poisenes. However the price of
viton o-rings over buna-n is only pennies. So why not just use viton?

I'm just waiting for Atomics to come out with a magnesium 1st stage :-) What
Apeks regs have titanium parts, wich parts?
