To me and the people I dive with the sticker does serve a purpose. It shows "we" support a standard and we are willing to follow it. I do not like that big ass nitrox cylinder wrap. But we use a VIP sticker showing once a year we are cleaning and servicing are tanks and valves, more often if needed. For me this has been more about following a standard than arguing whether a sticker means anything or not. I guess that's up to the individual diver.
