Redundant bladders are unnecessary and can cause problems. Why would
you want them? Even if you don't connect it, you now have another
inflator, and another hose, which could fail etc.

Wetnotes have more room to write stuff, and are out of the way.

Sounds like you are trying to reinvent the wheel. I could see this
getting in the way of the inflator and causing problems when you try
to vent. Also, you need to be able to show it to your buddy.

Use whatever you want. The Halcyon reels are very nice. Are you
trying to save a couple of bucks? I suggest another sport then. I
haven't seen the new Dive Rite reels, but the old ones have a metal
to metal connection and are much less nice than the Halcyon reels,
more likely to tangle, to fall apart, to ratsnest etc.

I suspect you will get flamed, since that's the nature of
"techdiver". However, keep in mind that just because you get flamed
doesn't mean the flamers are wrong.

You might also consider that technical diving is a dangerous
activity. Trying to "reinvent the wheel" can get you killed quite
easily. Don't believe me? Look up:

Frog rebreather in Sand Diego

just off the top of my head.

I would suggest using a tried and true system, such as DIR, and
asking a lot of questions if you need to, even if you get flamed (you
seem to be doing that, which is good). I would also suggest
subscribing to the quest list, and taking a GUE class.
