I have had quite a few questions and emails about the difference between the two. Firstly I think George would be better equipped to answer.... In a nut shell: We choose some in the PVC because we thought that the tail section might be better built for super deep dives. Garry in Hawaii should give more info these.. The PVC version has struts that hold the shroud further away from the body making the scooter about a 1" longer that the HDPE version. I don't think there is any speed difference on the PVC vrs HDPE but the PVC has a design that I guess (I am speculating and it is most likely not detectable) might allow the scooter to be a hair more efficient in amperage draw.. But diver trim is going to have a much greater effect. We selected the HDPE because we thought they might be more robust... The HDPE as I said earlier, seems to be the same as the PVC except the tail section. Either way you can't lose, they both handle so nice.. If I were to get another it would be the HDPE because they are just so pretty ;-) As far as the Demo's in Northern California: It looks like George Irvine might be coming out May or June in the Monterey area for a demo day.. Don't think anything is set in stone yet..
