George, I'm sure you're biting your tongue to kept relations open with
those guys. I don't lie about anything and I was right on the money with
this one and you know it by our private emails. Truth is they are now going
to change and so it is no longer an issue. As I said before, he has some of
the best divers I seen, but it really boils down to what is being done in
the leadership position.

I know that you and I have developed our own way of dealing with certain
divers and Barnette will find his. One thing we have started this year is
many in our group are taking turns to be responsible trip leaders on
certain trips. This takes the load off Dave and myself of being the dick
all the time. It also lets them feel the pressure of making sure all the
bases are covered. Something those that just sign up to go will never feel
or care about, because they will bailout when something goes wrong and say
"its not my trip" or "I didn't let him go".

The truth is accidents happen, we both know this, only those who are
prepared for them have reduced the number. Chances are we all will see
another one, so we better get ready, starting today.... then if it doesn't
happen, good.

Also, we are having a huge problem here with one of the local dive shops.
They sell almost nothing but gear we do not recommend. The problem is
divers can be trained only up to the padi bullshit stuff there, they do not
have a program or anyone to teach technical diving there, but sell all the
gear. Then the divers come to us for the training and think were are just
going to let them in , then think we are just saying the gear sucks because
they didn't buy it from the shop we deal with. Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
