I concur.  While death itself isn't an event we can directly plan to =
avoid, we sure as hell can plan and prepare for the litany of events and =
behaviors that can lead to it as an eventual consequence in any activity =
we take part in.   Somebody once said that one should "prepare for the =
worst and hope for the best."  Hope is for suckers.  Prepare for the =
worst, and then expect it to happen.  Anything that DOESN'T go wrong =
then becomes a pleasant surprise. :-))
