The last three years my EE light ( explorer 6 ) went through hell. It
fell over my jeep twice when
i was unloading my gear , and made it up to 300 dives without even one
failure.
Last month i decided to upgrade to 18Hid. The upgrade price until it
reached  here ( i leave in a Mediterranean
Greek Island ) went sky high due to transportation , tax ,VAT , but the
sour feeling disappeared when i took
first time inside the wreck. I was so satisfy that my  bulletproof
light was much brighter than my buddy's halogen 100W.
I made 15 dives with it until now and every time i get inside the dark ,
silty cargo decks of " Zenobia " i think
that my upgrade worth every single penny.
