Subject: 50% Vs 100%

Although i always do my deep stops , 50/50 makes me feel less " i cant 
keep my eyes open " in
the afternoons rather than using O2 as single deco gas.
Dive profiles usualy 45meters  30-50minutes.
 Is that because in the case of O2 i rush to the 6m rather than spending 
time deeper ?
