Karla,
Your so predictable.
I have tried many times over to converse with you privately, as well as =
give you support. You like many others spend your every waking hour =
trying to shoot holes in the DIR philosophy. To me it would have made =
much more sense to write PINA an e-mail saying "hey explain yourself"=20
My question is what's your point?
I teach for a living, and on a daily basis I am with students who are =
far from what I would consider my "Dive Buddies" but that does not mean =
I am a hypocrite because I get into the water without an additional =
staff member that is at my level or above. It is situational and I would =
recommend that before you cast stones you get the story from the accused =
instead of trying to be devious and vindictive just because George may =
have pissed you off at some point.
best of luck
Nick

Subject: DIR and Solo Diving
Following are responses to my question about solo diving. I am sure =
that I will have more. I will answer the first response at the end of =
the responses.
<<Yeah but what does that have to do with anything?
>>
<<That's right.>>
<<I'm by no means an expert on DIR, but all of my cave diver training =
with GUE strongly stressed team work. Also with the DIR diving =
philosophy, your buddy is your redundant systems, so you really aren't =
DIR if you're diving solo. So yes, you are correct: no solo diving -- =
even recreational.>>
<<YEP. 1000% Spot on.>>
Well, only that I am trying to figure out what Pina, George's =
girlfriend, was doing diving solo on the Lady Go Diver Sun, AM.
I guess I figure if you are going to talk the talk, you should walk =
the walk. Not be a hypocrite or anything like that.
Since so many of you have piped up, privately, I figure it's correct.
But then again, Maybe George and his girlfriend don't have to live by =
the rules they preach?
