There is a good article in the Advanced Diver's Journal portion of this 
month's "SCUBA Times" concerning the debate of progressive penetration versus
lines.  The article is very impartial and includes comments from recognized 
experts on both sides of the issue (Steve Bielinda, Tom Mount, etc).

PS: The cover of the magazine shows two local divers in full wreck diving kits.
    The picture was taken by Brian Skerry.  The divers are not identified, but
    I believe they are Paul Blanchette and Roy Parsons.  If it is in fact Roy
    Parsons, I find it ironic for a magazine to offer an advanced diver's 
    journal, yet fail to point out that one of the diver's on the cover died
    pursuing the sport.  Two years ago I didn't know-of or even know any "dead
    divers".  Now I seem to know many...
