The problem is a lot of quick releases have a very convoluted path and that could aggravate adiabatic compression/heating. The ones with built-in cutoffs are the worse in this respect. We0've been using the Parker STs now - they have an absolutely clear straight through path and the seal is a single O-ring which is easily reached and replaced, with your flavor of choice.
