These Sherwood knobs will not fit on all manifolds. Some you have to cut off
at the inside, like Terry said. The idea is to have a relatively soft
material that will not shatter, and it must have a solid metal insert that
will not round out.

Why, you been hitting things?
I noticed a guy using a roll cage once when I was in Florida. I had to stop
and get out of the car for that one.  It was welded onto the bands.  Anyway
the parts are not the same. You could cut the hand wheel skirt back so it
can fit over the manifold, if you can't find a roll cage or you could work
on your diving skills (that always helps).:-)
