No reason why you should be a victim or on the boat with anyone whose diving decisions bother you. That's one of the nice things about freedom of choice, you have it too. If you don't like what they do, you can find a boat and people you like better. I kind of thought that's what "Don't dive with strokes" was all about. > Too bad you don't like my attitude, you can kiss my ass. Yep, and if you don't care for my expression of opinion on your attitude, you know right where to plant your own lips, right? That's one of the nice things about freedom of speech, I have it too. The post you included with your response was a lot more about others trying to speak for you than what you said. While I don't like your attitude, your attitude is yours to chose and the results yours as well. I'm not, however, inclined to pay a lot of attention to those who try to defend what you have said for you. I don't think you're so weak that you need or want their help. Am I wrong? > I am "dead" right on this one, as per usual. At the moment, neither of us knows what is right or wrong. The only thing that is clear right now is that things went wrong that were beyond the ability of a solo diver to survive. You don't know what happened or that whatever it was, could have been survived with help from a buddy or by any of the risk control systems you employ in your most advanced diving. When you know more, your analysis will certainly be worth considering, but only when there's something to analyze. We know one thing. We know your attitude toward toward a dead diver is inconsistent with what most of us consider the moral high ground . . . as usual. You chose to post the way you do for reasons sufficient to you. It's your right. I chose to express my opinion on that attitude which is my right and to decline to accept defense of your actions by others neither qualified nor needed to defend you. Like I said, you're a big boy now. You'll get over it. > The guy was a complete fucking stroke . . . Possibly. > . . . and he proved me right. No, but he does seem to have proven himself wrong.
