The text on the website has been changed in regard to "deep cave penetration" -
there certainly has been none of that done with the Jetboots. Thanks for
pointing my attention to this piece of my own bullshit. The depth rating is
another matter. We are just getting the production hard packs going, but with
them depths >300' should be possible. These things are solid aluminum and
should be able to take the depth. Whether it is a good idea to use them on
this type of dive I leave up the individual diver - but the capability is
there.

If only I was joking... Again, Jetboots are not designed for a deep cave
penetration. They are designed for the type of diving I do - diving for
pleasure. They are great for cruising on a reef, covering a lot of ground, and
seeing a lot of marine critters. They may or may not have more technical
applications, but for rec dives they are great. I see them more as a rental
item for a rec diver than as a must have for a tech dive. I certainly won't
post here and tell you guys to buy them for wrech/tech applications, but I will
answer questions about them and discuss possible tech applications on this list
if questions or comments are brought up by others.
