Yes I'm taking it one step at a time. Initially I intend to get more experience diving in NY/NJ. The main thing as you said is: "go diving". I'm getting a DUI in a couple of weeks. I'm doing the Nitrox next month cuz I got a very good deal on the tuition and I intend to use it for decompression although I would still have air as my bottom mix. But I have no expectations of diving bellow 200fsw within the next year or so. Regarding trimix, I'll be taking the course soemtime in the future, but I still have doubts whether I would dive on it regularly. Thanks for the two cents, Ed.
